Supplements for Muscle Gain

Taking certain nutritional supplements for muscle building is not absolutely necessary. You can do without them, but some really do have their advantages in the muscle-building process.

Creatine:
Helps to fill the muscles with fluid making you stronger and able to lift heavier and recover faster.

Protein Powders:
Whey protein isolate is a fast acting protein to aid in repair and growth of muscle tissue after an intense training session. Casein Protein is a slow digesting protein best taken just before bed to supply the body with a continuous flow of amino acids for repair and growth through the night while you sleep.

Weight Gainers:
A high calorie supplement is a good idea if you are trying to put on weight. These extra calories increase muscle endurance and effective muscle repair.

Multi-vitamin/Mineral Supplement:
Offsets nutrient deficits that occur during intense training.

Vitamin C:
Immunity booster and free radical destroyer.

Vitamin E:
Cell integrity and vitality.

Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs):
Great for overall health and helps promote the body’s production of Testosterone – the muscle builder.

Note: You should always check with your General Practitioner or other health professional before taking any nutritional supplements.
