BATON ROUGE—The New Year is upon us, but before we shut the door on 2012, let’s take a look at some of the best boxing moments of the year.
Bleacher Report complied The 10 Most Memorable Images of Boxing in 2012, including Austin Trout’s victory against Miguel Cotto in Madison Square Garden, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr’s 12th round knockdown of Sergio Martinez, and Manny Pacquiao facedown after being knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez, among other photos.
The Bleacher Report also made a list of The 10 Best MMA Submissions of 2012, including Martin Kampmann vs. Thiago Alves (Kampmann won via submission), Charles Oliveira vs. Eric Wisely (Oliveira put a calf slicer on Wisely), and Dustin Poirier vs. Max Holloway (Poirier put a mounted triangle on Holloway, earning him Submission of the Night).
