Officer Johnson is awarded the Life Saver Award in recognition of his dedication and commitment demonstrated on November 6th, 2010. On this date, Officer Johnson and other officers responded to an attempted suicide. Upon arrival, the officers found that the subject had set himself on fire.
Initially, the subject was calm, but when EMS tried to render medical attention, the subject stood and tried to throw himself over the third story balcony railing. Officer Johnson and two other officers grabbed the subject in an attempt to keep him from going over, but the subject continued to pull himself and the officers over the railing.
After a lengthy fight to keep from going over, the officers were able to take the subject to the ground, and restrain him long enough for EMS to sedate him. The actions of Officer Johnson and other officers surely saved this individuals life.
It is therefore, with great pride and sincere gratitude that the city of Baton Rouge and the Baton Rouge Police Department award this Life Saving Award to Officer Dustin Johnson this 17th day of March, 2011

Former LSU fullback and rising heavyweight contender Shawn Jordan (9-2 MMA, 2-1 BFC) meets John Hill (3-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) at Bellator 45.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) confirmed the bout with event sources.
Bellator 45 takes place this Saturday, May 21, at L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort in Lake Charles, La., and the night’s main card airs on MTV2. Jordan vs. Hill is expected to be a featured preliminary-card fight.
Bellator 45 is the organization’s final season-four event. The show features the featherweight and light-heavyweight tournament finales. Other fighters, such as Jordan and Hill, likely are jockeying for spots on Bellator’s “Summer Series” and season-five events (beginning in September).
Jordan, who spent four years with LSU on special teams and as a back-up fullback, graduated from the NCAA powerhouse in 2007. He launched his pro MMA career two years later with Bellator, where he submitted Jayme Mckinney in his promotional debut at Bellator 9. He won nine of his first 10 fights (all but two via first-round stoppage). However, in his most recent fight, he suffered a knockout loss to Mark Holata (11-2) at Bellator 31.
Hill, a three-year pro, makes his Bellator debut following a recent KOTC fight, in which he knocked out John Orr in just 29 seconds. In fact, none of his wins has lasted more than 53 seconds. Coincidentally, his only career loss came to Holata, who defeated Jordan a year later.
